Anyone know how to turn off a gas oven when the dial breaks? I managed to get it to low, but, beyond that, I got nothing.

yes, we did end up turning the gas off. The trick was, I was pretty sure the valve was behind the stove, and I wasn't sure I should move it to get back there. Turns out? The valve is in my knife drawer.

Pliers are largely how we coaxed it to low, but, the stem itself was actually broken. Oh well. Crockpots are great, and I've been plpanning meals using it a good deal lately, even before the oven problems. So, it'll hold until I can get it fixed.
