Back from Sunnydale...

I meant to post last night, but, I got home. Well, mostly. 

My sewer's doing its annual "poop-on-my-bathroom-floor" parade, (started while I was in CA) and so, I ended up at my mom's last night. 

I had a fantastic trip. I met some amazing people, and saw many sites. There will be pictures forthcoming.  Soon as I'm actually at *my* house.  And, given that I've watched them do set-ups for the Oscars all week, I am *so* watrching them this year.

Oh, jeez, yeah, having sewer problems to come home to does *not* sound like fun at all! Hopefully it won't be too hard to fix?

Well, see, I am supposed to do some preventive maintenance on my sewers yearly, to keep it from, uh, exploding. If I let it go, it, uh, explodes. Usually, it just backs into the bath tub, and the toilet overflows/backs up from the bottom. Not fun, but, and we usually just mop all the nastiness up, wash, and no lasting damage. This year, a few minor casualities.

Yeah, it's a tad inconvenient, but not really a big deal. In fact, the plumber just left, and it's all good again. The good news, I do alternate with the owner of the other half, so, next time it's his turn to pay.

Well, okay. I'll admit, it's my least favorite part of my house, since it's usually an annual thing. Usually I have the guy come out in fall, or right before my annual Buffyfest (yes, I call it Slayerfest). If I do it preemptively, I don't get the "explosion" part. If I don't, well, it tells me about it. Sigh.
