Granted, I doubt they get that big in Colorado, but, until I saw mine, I didn't know we had larger turtles in the state. Mine was a midget compared to that one. Denver's apparently just barely in the territory range for the snapping turtle in the state. It likes the eastern plains more than the elevation.
